My final Instructional Design and Technology Course was IDT 7095. This course was designed to give me in-depth experience in systematically designing instruction. It is an advanced course that emphasized strategies that can support different types of learning and evaluation of instruction. The course work consisted of dividing into two groups and working directly with a client to assess their needs, develop instruction, and evaluate the effectiveness of the instruction.

Each team had specific team roles that were required to be filled. I served as the Project Manager for my team. We worked with Church Health, a faith-based healthcare non-profit in Memphis, TN. Church Health is the largest private faith-based health clinic in the U.S. Their mission is to reclaim the Church’s biblical commitment to care for our bodies and our spirits.

Our team was tasked with improving new employee orientation. We developed a communication plan, conducted a needs analysis, provided a project proposal, developed media specifications and mock-ups, delivered preliminary instructional materials, conducted evaluations on the preliminary materials, updated & improved the instructional materials and gave the client the final deliverables.
